What is Multi-Room?
Multi-room is the ability to send audio and/or vision throughout your house to one or more rooms.
Where would I use it?
Multi-room systems can be used for sending Video and/or Music to:
Outdoor area/s Bedroom/s Living area/s
This means you can entertain your guests with sound and vision, in whatever areas of your house you like, all at the same time.
Costs involved?
Depending on the receiver that you choose to buy - a lot of 7.1 Channel surround receivers have the option of a second zone output built in, some have up to 3 extra outputs, so the only cost could be as little as the speakers and the cabling to suit.

Proper Distributed AV Multi-room
What is it?
A true distributed AV Multi-room setup is a system that is specifically designed to send audio and visual around to multiple rooms. Usually this type of system is designed to have from 4 – 6 areas with up to 8 products that can be connected (CD, Radio, DVD, TV, Pay etc) and are operated by a Keypad or smart phone or tablet (Apple or Android).
If you go a Keypad based system, the Keypad sits flush in the wall of each designated area and you can also utilize a remote control for ease of use. If you want something more flexible, we can design a system that can be operated from a Smart Phone or Tablet, most commonly an Apple iPad. The advantage of this is you can operate any room from anywhere in the house, you can control all your system components including Austar or Foxtel and you can even stream music from your phone or tablet, PC, USB, NAS Drive etc or listen to internet radio etc. The average system we use, uses in-wall or in-ceiling speakers, this way there is absolutely no room taken up in each area, but it is like having all your equipment in every room without the mess. Every area operates independently, you can watch or listen to whatever you want in any room, without worrying what anyone else is doing, and the volume is also totally independent.
What do I require?
These days there are a lot of different systems, ideally bring in your plans and we can custom build a system to suit the areas you want to cover and to suit your budget. Our designers are that good that our competitors quite often copy our designs to show to their customers.
What can I broadcast throughout my house?
Anything you want! That’s the great thing with this system, it can be any Audio source or any Video source, we can even stream high definition 3D 1080P HDMI around the house, which means you can send True High Definition around the house.
So if you invest in high quality LCD or Plasma Panels for your different rooms, you are not limited to low quality video distribution like a lot of other systems that are currently being promoted elsewhere.
